At Birmingham Dog Rescue, volunteers are the heart of everything we do. Whether you’re passionate about hands-on animal care or have skills behind the scenes, there is a meaningful place for you on our team. Every hour you give directly helps save lives.

We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities, including:

• Clerical & Administrative Support: Help with emails, data entry, scheduling, and organizational tasks that keep our rescue running smoothly.

• Transport & Transfers: Assist with moving dogs safely from high-kill shelters to our foster network.

• Foster & Adoption Coordination: Support the process of placing dogs into temporary foster homes and matching them with their forever families.

• Events & Community Outreach: Lend a hand at adoption events, fundraisers, and educational outreach to spread awareness and connect with the community.

• Fostering: Provide a temporary, loving home that allows a dog to decompress and prepare for adoption.

• Marketing, Social Media & Website Support: Help us share our mission, promote adoptable dogs, and reach more people who want to get involved.
