Birmingham Dog Rescue was created from a shared passion to educate, save, and nurture animals in need. What began as a simple desire to help dogs who had nowhere else to go has grown into a rescue rooted in compassion, dedication, and community support.

We rescue dogs from high-kill shelters across the country, giving them a second chance at safety and love. Each dog is placed into a caring foster home where they can decompress, heal, and begin their journey toward a forever family. Once ready, our dogs are thoughtfully matched with adopters who can offer them the life they deserve.

Run by Lauren Wynns and Marisa Ruby, along with a committed team of volunteers, Birmingham Dog Rescue operates nationwide, working tirelessly to advocate for vulnerable animals. Together, we are building a network of fosters, adopters, and supporters who believe every dog deserves a chance to thrive.
